Former 2K Games Producer Omer Reimer Dies in Accident
Former 2K Games producer Omer Reimer died on Saturday, Oct. 12 in a single-vehicle accident. Reimer was 29 and worked for 2K on BioShock, BioShock Infinite and the upcoming 2K Sports NBA 2K18. According to GameSpot, an autopsy revealed that Reimer died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident. An investigation is currently underway, but no further information is available.
Reimer was considered a rising star at 2K, with both Kotaku and GameSpot reporting that he had a promising future ahead of him. He was reportedly named 2K's Gameplay Engineering intern of the year in 2013. Reimer studied mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
